FLORENT MALOUDA TALKS ABOUT THE RISE OF WADI DEGLA SC

UEFA Champions league winner with top English Premier League Chelsea FC, Florent Malouda talked about his experience at Egyptian outfit Wadi Degla SC since joining them in an interview with French website Football365.

Malouda who is 35 years old and most recently played for Indian club Delhi Dynamos in the Super League joined Egypt January this year, after a decent experience. When he joined the team they were just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League, according to Malouda but after several more games since then, they rank third behind well known team with Zamalek in second place and Al Ahly leading the pack.

Malouda who is 35 years old and most recently played for Indian club Delhi Dynamos in the Super League joined Egypt January this year, after a decent experience. When he joined the team they were just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League, according to Malouda but after several more games since then, they rank third behind well known team with Zamalek in second place and Al Ahly leading the pack.

Malouda joined the team as they wanted to tap into his experience of character and leadership. The France international won the Premier League and three FA Cups with Chelsea, aside four Ligue 1 title in the hay days of Olympique Lyon. The Frenchman also helped Indian club Delhi Dynamos to the semi finals of the ISL under Brazilian coach Roberto Carlos.

When Malouda joined Wadi Degla SC, he was the third foreign player aside Nigerian forward Stanley Ohawuchi and Junior Mapuku of Congo at the club based in Cairo. Malouda during the interview shared that his arrival at the club was welcoming and the team helped him settle fast into the league.

Since he started playing regularly in February, he has scored three goals in the Egyptian Premier League with several assists. His first goal was in the 2-0 victory against Enppi in April. So far, the player has played 14 goals in the Premier League and says he has enjoyed every bit of his time at the club. He didn’t talk much about his future at the club but said he would like to win as much as possible with the club.
